Rockman No, i'm not talking to you Deann. This one really confuses me. How on Earth did I upset you, and so much so that you didn't want me to elucidate on my own referencing?

Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta are all letters of the Greek alphabet. I didn't interpret his post that way until I read yours and then looked at it again. Using the words "failed abortions" and "retards" in a post is worthy of criticizing, but Zeta? I hardly think it's fair to assume that he meant anything other than what we had already been talking about, which was caste systems in relation to the Greek alphabet. If that's the case, let him (or you can do it) prove it by linking to an article that describes the greek alphabet in such a way.

When it comes to the Deep Discussion Section, I expect a strong level of civility and respect, more so than any other part of the forum. I'm more lenient on posts outside of it, more lenient on humor or wordplay depending on what it is. Here though, yeah I really expect a level of just civility when it comes to the Deep Discussion Section. If you're going to use harsh criticism of something, you better be able to back it up so that the criticism seems found at least. And remember, there is an appeal section. Anyone who thinks their warn, ban, etc wasn't fair can always go and appeal. --- --- Now with that out of the way...what are you people talking about? I feel like I've been linked to a different site than what you people are chatting about. The link was about how leadership isn't necessarily the most positive or desirable thing. The article is how we put so much emphasis on being "leaders" we don't take the time to show the positives and even necessities of say a "follower." That leadership isn't about "ruling" but passion and contribution beyond the self. And I feel one person has actually addressed the point of this topic, the issue of "leadership". Everyone else is talking about Alpha, beta, epsilon, zeta, delta, omicron, unicorn, Unicron, Galvatron and what not. Jokes aside, what does any of this have to with the topic at hand? Are we saying that "Alphas" are better suited for leadership quality? Assuming that's what you all mean, that's not the point of the topic. The topic is about leadership has become muddled and the focus it seems on being the top and the best instead of actually showing the worth of a leader such as compassion and contribution. What does any of this Alpha, Beta, Zeta business have to do with the topic? Somebody give me an explanation here because I don't know about the rest here but I'm lost and it feels like everyone is off topic.

So regardless of whether that's applicable to the link given in the OP, talking about 'Alphas', 'Betas' etc is on topic because the topic title mentions it. Also, I'm not interested enough to read the article, but from what I gather the gist of it is, like you said, about leadership qualities and the desire for them in society. From what I understand, Alphas are more likely to be leaders, so, again, 'Alphas', 'Betas' and what not are very pertinent to the conversation.

Because from here, it looked quite clear that you were trashing another forum and specifically had certain people in mind from said forum. I would know because i've done it before. Regardless, after I assumed your position, I asked what everyone else meant and where they are getting their information, did I not? The point is, i've done a lot of reading on personality traits/ characteristics involving and or using the greek alphabet as a symbol for each type. Much like INTJ describes a specific set on the Myers-Briggs. Everything I've ever read on Zeta Males, is not under your baseless definition of failed abortions and retards. Zeta personality traits in general are made up definitions from amateur psychologists who are trying to label a type. Had you instead left it opened ended and let the reader decide for themselves what Zeta's are, it would have been perceived as a joke.
